VERBAL BULLYING
Hey guys, it's FAI here and I'm back to share a new topic that is......
As usual, I would start by giving some information that I've found about Verbal Bullying. Verbal bullying or bullying with cruel spoken words, involves on going name-calling, threatening and making disrespectful comments about someone's distributes like their appearance, religion, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and etc. This case mostly found in school children and teenagers. So to everyone please ensure that no one in your family suffer from this.
There is a way how we can know that our children and teenagers are being bullied verbally. Firstly, the child or teen may withdraw from making any conversation or contact so that they can hide the fact. Next, they drastically became moody out of no reason and easily get angry. Then, they may feel like losing their appetite to eat or show a change of appetite. Lastly, they may ask you something hurtful that someone said about them and ask you to make sure whether it's true or false.
I have experiences of this kind of bully for all of my life. It didn't just happen at school, it also happen at home with my sibling. I have an older sister, well I'm a little tanner than her because of that fact she always call me black. For the 18 year old me, I feel like it's nothing cause no one ever said being tan, or dark or even black is hideous, it's actually a good thing if there's only fair people in the world there will be no variety right and there's a saying "black beauty", so it doesn't mean black is not beautiful or gorgeous.
Next, during my primary and secondary school, people always make fun of my middle name because it sound weird and different. Because of that I always cry and hate my middle name because of it but had to suck it up cause I can't change my name until I'm 18 years old. Then my mom told me that my middle name is different cause it have a beautiful meaning and it shows that I'm her daughter even if one day I had to move far away. Since then, when someone makes fun of my name, I'll just say "at least my middle name has a special meaning from my mom that will always hold me close to her unlike yours.". I just don't care anymore if my middle name is weird because it's always will be my name.
What I can advice you all is that, no matter what anyone say or talk about you just stick to what you think is right and you don't have to give a damn on anything they say. Well my sister still calls me black, and you know what every time she call me that I always reply "black beauty" and my dad will always scold my sister for that. He thinks that everyone has their own specialty and uniqueness, so just believe in yourself.
